Programs
Outreach
This program provides
a safe haven for youth on Friday and
Saturday nights, with adult supervision.
The purpose is to
keep youth off the streets by giving them a place for
recreation, and for learning life skills to promote responsibility
and self-sufficiency. Other activities include a variety of
workshops addressing career
planning, drug and alcohol
resistance and other topics for personal improvement.

Unwed Mothers
This program assists in setting and supporting the personal
and improvement
goals of unwed mothers in the Jackson
community. The Lily Missions Center will
provide support for
mothers who work and/or attend school. The support includes,
but is not limited to, day care, parenting classes, job training
and developing
interviewing skills.

Healing and Grieving
This program focuses on assisting individuals with issues
related to death and
dying and other types of losses such as
divorce, sudden death of a child, loss
of a parent due to
incarceration and loss of employment.
|
|
Financial Management and
Investments
This programs assists individuals in developing the skills
necessary to
effectively manage their finances and enjoy a
prosperous future.
|
Tutoring
This program focuses on children and youth who need help to
prepare socially and
academically to benefit from instruction at
community schools. The Lily Missions
Center tutors in basic
math and reading skills. We also counsel children, youth
and
families on the importance of education as an ingredient to
success and self
sufficiency. |
