Rev. James L. Hines
The new Lily Missionary
Baptist Church Complex, though constructed in 2001, was conceived
from Pastor Hines' vision which is referenced in the Vision Statement titled The Wall Around Lily. The first plans to build a
new church were discussed , in the Fellowship Hall, in the winter of 1995.
Persons involved were Pastor James L. Hines, Brother Carl Breeding, and
Brother Albert Peterson.
The complex includes the
Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, Day Care, Healing & Grieving Room, a
gym, stage, Investment classroom, computer lab and more. The Center
was designed to serve community needs while the church fulfilled the spiritual
need. The total square footage of the facility is 27,000 square feet.

Just as the lily comes in many garden
varieties, we do also. We all belong to God. As his children, we are
blessed with many distinct talents, and unique characteristics. Let
us all come together to pray, worship, and praise him at his house.
This Mercedes Benz S500 was presented to Pastor Hines on his
17th Pastoral Anniversary
because is a giving man. The license plate reads: LUKE 6:38:“Give, and
it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken
together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with
the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you
again.”
The Lily Missionary Baptist Church believes in Psalm 35:27“ Let them
shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let
them continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in
the prosperity of his servant”

The Power of Prayer
The day
was long, the burden I had borne
Seemed heavier than I could longer bear
And then it lifted, but I did not know
Someone had knelt in prayer;
Had taken me to God that very hour,
And asked the easing of the load, and He,
In infinite compassion, had stooped down
And taken it from me.
We cannot tell how often as we pray
For some bewildered one.
Hurt and distressed,
The answer comes.
But many times those hearts
Find sudden peace and rest.
Someone had prayed,
And Faith, a reaching hand,
Took hold of God
And brought Him
Down that day!
So many, Many hearts
Have need of prayer:
Oh, let us pray!
